The Broswell Conjectures

This site conforms with UNCPE Directive H4.2333/x.13, as amended by Document 32016R0679 (Celex 239) which acknowledges and takes account of the Broswell Conjectures as far as they are currently understood. It is noted that there is no canonical source for these conjectures. The links provided below are to the most credible sources at the time of this page's promulgation, but it should be noted that the provenance of these articles has not been investigated. By general accord, the conjectures are presently defined as follows:

  1. Humankind has lost control of its material legacy. We are unable to sort, discard, conserve or curate our own story.
  2. Social media corporations are unable and unwilling to take care of the most comprehensive archival record of human interactions ever made.
  3. The Internet is already partly broken and we need to decide if it is an existential threat to human life and thought.
